Naaz Hosseini, SoundShifter, is a master vocalist, violinist, dancer, composer, and psychotherapist. As a multi-disciplinary performer she has appeared world-wide with the Meredith Monk Vocal Ensemble, Liz Lerman Dance Exchange, and the Laura Dean Dancers. Her voice empowerment workshops have been presented at numerous venues, including The New York Open Center and Kripalu. She offers voice attunement, empowerment, and healing for individuals and groups.
Peter Blum has been a musician all of his life, and a practitioner of “Nada Yoga” since the 70’s. He has presented concerts, lectures and workshops on the power of sound and music for healing at Omega Institute, The Abode of the Message, and numerous yoga studios and hypnosis conferences. Peter’s six CD’s in the popular “Sound for Healing” series, include “Pulse Field”, featuring Naaz Hosseini.
David Budd taught himself to play the drum set when he was a teenager and delights in creating percussive sounds from nearly any object. He began studying frame-drum percussion in 1997 with world-renown drummer, Layne Redmond with whom he studied challenging rhythms of Middle Eastern and Brazilian music. David also is accomplished on didgeridoo, various bamboo flutes as well as overtone singing. He facilitates a monthly percussion jam in Clinton Corners, NY.
