WHEN:

WHAT:
Naaz offers her annual Mini-Course: "Moving
and Drawing in Museums: Entry Points to Understanding Exhibits"
at Project Zero Summer Institute. For
museums to serve as a resource for understanding, teachers need
to use them actively as resources rather than passively receiving
what's dictated by exhibit design. This session explores how drawing
and movement can focus students' attention in museums, raising
sensitivity and inclination to learn. Taught in the Harvard Museum
of Comparative Zoology (about a fifteen minute walk from the institute's
other classrooms), the session will address ways to understand
anatomy and evolution through methods derived from the arts.

Workshop: A Guided Healing Experience Using Gestalt, Voice and
Movement. As
an existential, body-centered process, gestalt therapy builds
on the self-awareness and attunement of both therapist and client.
One effective way to develop and expand these capacities is through
the conscious experience of our innate expressive tools: voice
and movement. Learn to connect with the energy of your own voice
and the impulse of your own movement as tools for building greater
awareness and making deeper connections with yourself, others,
and life itself. No previous experience in voice or movement
is necessary.
